This website is a guide for university educators about how to use the theories of adult development in the undergraduate classroom. In these pages I answer the following questions:

   1. What do adult developmental theories have to say about traditional university learners?
   2. How can that information be used in the classroom?

I compare a profile of my learners to descriptions of this stage by leading developmental theorists.
I conclude that the core elements of developmental theory apply to my learners. However, I also suspect that culture creates timing differences, which may need to be accounted for. From this information I formulate seven take-away ideas for use in my classroom and suggest specific teaching tools and strategies to implement those ideas.

The remaining materials are supplemental, but are useful in rounding out an understanding of the field of adult development in both time and space.
